FarmLinks Golf Club Offers New “Pursell Farms Quail Package”

(SYLACAUGA, ALABAMA) - FarmLinks Golf Club at Pursell Farms (www.farmlinks.org) – featuring the world’s only agronomic research and demonstration golf course – has unveiled a new “Pursell Farms Quail Package.”

The Pursell Farms Quail Package – which runs from Nov. 1 through Jan. 31, 2012 – is good for one or two nights. The one-night package for two people starts at $525 per person (double occupancy) and includes: quail hunt, guide, dogs, transportation to and from fields, breakfast, lunch and dinner, unlimited snacks, non-alcoholic beverages and luxury accommodations at FarmLinks' cottages and cabins. Add a second night and an additional half-day hunt for a total of $725.

Golfers can add to the daily experience by playing golf on Alabama’s top-ranked public course, plus receive full use of the practice facility, for $75. A session of trap shooting at FarmLinks’ five-stand sporting clays range can be added for $30.

“We hope this new package prompts hunters and golfers from all over to come out and enjoy the total first-class experience at FarmLinks,” says Erle Fairly, president of FarmLinks. “This is a truly unique property, and the fall is a wonderful time of year to enjoy the vivid scenery, unparalleled customer service, fine Southern cuisine, hunting and, of course, our PGA TOUR-quality golf course.”

A day of quail hunting begins at Hamilton Place, the 1850s plantation home restored by the Pursell family. After a home-cooked meal, guides will take guests to an area managed strictly for quail hunting, with a perfect mix of native cover and thinned, mature pine stands alongside gently rolling pastures. Hunters will enjoy walking through the manicured terrain while watching the bird dogs work the fields.

Pursell Farms encompasses more than 3,500 acres of rolling hills, oak and pine forests, native grasses and beautiful plantation land, of which a substantial amount is intensely managed and prepared for guided preserve hunting. In addition to quail hunting (October-March), FarmLinks also offers guided hunting for deer (November-January) and dove (September). Guests can also fish year-round for largemouth bass or bream in FarmLinks’ expertly designed lakes. The five-stand sporting clays range is also open year-round.

The “Pursell Farms Quail Package” offer is subject to availability and cannot be combined with any other special or offer; any unused portion of a package is non-refundable. Call 877.292.FARM (3276) for details and to inquire about added amenities. Use the promo code “Hunt Quail.”
