PGA TOUR Superstore expands once more in Interactive Golf retail

Grand opening of 45,000 square foot location includes $30,000 in product giveaways, $10,000 grant to The First Tee of Fort Worth

(Atlanta) – PGA TOUR Superstore is ushering in a new experience for golfers and tennis players in Southlake, Texas, with the December 13 grand opening of its 45,000 square foot interactive store located at 2241 East Southlake Blvd in Southlake. It is the company’s 22nd retail store and its third in Texas, joining two Plano, Texas, locations:  one off 75 and Plano Parkway, and the other off the 121 on Preston Road.

“Golfers and tennis players of all levels in the Southlake/Fort Worth area in for a real treat,” said PGA TOUR Superstore President and CEO Dick Sullivan. “Our experiential golf destination is like no other in the marketplace. If you want to shop like the pros and have access to ‘all things golf,’ you can tap our professional expertise and interactive environment designed to inspire all types of golfers. Whether you’re a beginner or a scratch golfer, you can find everything you need under one roof. And for tennis players, we have the widest selection of brand names in equipment, apparel and footwear.”

The new Southlake store’s December 13 grand opening celebration will include $30,000 in product giveaways and a $10,000 grant to The First Tee of Fort Worth.

“Southlake represents a premier market for our expansion and is the ideal place to build on our established brand and retail presence,” added Sullivan. “We look to double PGA TOUR Superstore’s presence over the next four years with up to 40 locations across the U.S. by 2018, adding one million square feet of new golf and tennis retail space.”

PGA TOUR Superstore recently opened a store in North Scottsdale, Arizona, and last week opened a store in Orlando, Florida.

PGA TOUR Superstore in Southlake will employ 40-50 people and provide unique, interactive experiences to golf enthusiasts of all levels. The new Southlake store experience includes:
* Certified golf pros and personalized golf lessons
* Six swing simulators for lessons and custom club fittings
* Five performance practice bays with swing analysis
* A 2,000 square foot putting green
* Golf apparel, shoes and equipment from brands including adidas, Bridgestone, Callaway, Cleveland-Srixon, Cobra-PUMA, ECCO, FootJoy, Mizuno, NIKE, PGA TOUR, PING, TaylorMade, Titleist and Under Armour
* Tennis apparel and equipment from brands including Wilson, HEAD, Babolat, Prince, Dunlop, NIKE, adidas, K-Swiss and Tail

The Southlake PGA TOUR Superstore grand opening event will take place December 13 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and include $30,000 in giveaways and special in-store activities. In addition to the grand opening festivities, a demonstration of commitment to the Fort Worth community will take place during a Friends and Family event on December 11, with a $10,000 grant made to The First Tee of Fort Worth, a top youth development program for building character, instilling life-enhancing values and promoting healthy choices through the game of golf. PGA TOUR Superstore, in addition to grants, provides young people in The First Tee program with access to state-of-the-art teaching, club fitting and training in its stores. During the month of December, PGA TOUR Superstore will match any new donations to The First Tee home office made on The First Tee’s website up to $20,000.
    
PGA TOUR Superstore is owned and operated by Golf & Tennis Pro Shop, Inc., whose controlling owner and chairman is Arthur M. Blank, retired co-founder of The Home Depot and owner of the Atlanta Falcons and MLS Atlanta.
