Yuengling Brewery Becomes Presenting Sponsor of Traveling Golfer Show on Comcast SportsNet

(PHILADELPHIA, Pa.) - Yuengling Brewery, based in Pottsville, Pennsylvania and America's oldest brewery, has signed an agreement to become presenting sponsor of the award-winning Traveling Golfer television show on Comcast SportsNet and The Comcast Network.

Yuengling has been affiliated with the Traveling Golfer show as a sponsor since the show debuted in February of 2013. Now it takes the sponsorship lead, with the growth of the show in the Philadelphia and Baltimore/Washington networks.

Beginning May 1, the Traveling Golfer will be a regularly scheduled feature show on Comcast SportsNet in the Philadelphia market and The Comcast Network in both the Philadelphia and Mid-Atlantic (Washington) markets.

Once the regular schedule begins in May, the Traveling Golfer will debut on Comcast SportsNet on Sunday, May 3 at 10:30 a.m. and air every Sunday at that time. It also will air on The Comcast Network on the first Monday of every month at 6 p.m., the second Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. and on a rotating basis during the third and fourth weeks of every month. Additional airings will take place on a space available basis.

The Traveling Golfer also will be available through Comcast's Xfinity On Demand feature.

"We have enjoyed an outstanding relationship with Yuengling Brewery for many years," says Tony Leodora, host of the Traveling Golfer. "To see this American-made beer step up and take the lead sponsorship on a show that takes avid golfers on visual journeys to some of the best golf courses in the world is very satisfying. It is the perfect marriage of sponsor and viewer."

Not only will Yuengling commercials air on all Comcast SportsNet and The Comcast Network shows, but Yuengling also will be presenting sponsor of any Traveling Golfer events that are being planned in the future."

"From the beginning, the Traveling Golfer show and host Tony Leodora have been an active part of promoting Yuengling," said Yuengling President David Casinelli. "Yuengling Lager and Yuengling Light Lager have been a favorite of the golf set for years and television shows like this help to get that message out."

The Traveling Golfer debuted in February of 2013. Responding to golfers' never-ending demands to learn more about interesting golf courses and golf resorts across the country and around the world, well-traveled host Tony Leodora created the Traveling Golfer so he could take viewers on video golf trips to some of the most exciting golf locations. The show won a first place award for golf television broadcasts in the prestigious International Network of Golf Media Awards, presented at the PGA Merchandise Show in January.

The Traveling Golfer appears as a series of monthly shows hosted by Leodora, who has 15 years of experience in televised golf shows. Previous Traveling Golfer shows are archived for continued viewing on the home website, www.travelinggolfervideo.com.
