New ‘Women on Course’ Website to Fuel Growing Appeal of Golf Among Females

(RESTON, VA) – Women on Course (WOC) – America’s fastest growing player development organization – has unveiled a new website (www.womenoncourse.com) that aligns with its leadership role in introducing tens of thousands of women to golf and its amazing lifestyle.

To meet the needs of a surging membership working and socializing in today’s fast-paced environment, WOC designed a vibrant website responsive across desktop, tablet and mobile platforms.  News and information is cleanly organized for visitors to quickly navigate to their unique areas of interest, including:

Events – A comprehensive list of and simple registration for more than 2,100 annual golf and non-golf events like “Clinics & Cocktails” and “Wine Without the 9” in 75 major cities

Community – Access the WOC directory to meet, interact and plan outings with thousands of interesting and accomplished women from diverse backgrounds

Memberships – Multiple levels are affordable with extensive benefits, including invitations to member-only events, reduced greens fees and promotional offers

Store – Exclusive discounts on equipment and apparel, and special pricing on Play Days, WOC Signatures and 3-Day Travel Events

A blog rotates stories about WOC, news and insights from the world of golf, fashion and fitness advice, and game-improvement tips.

“Women today require the ability to plan and adjust their daily schedules on the go,” says Donna Hoffman, Founder and President of WOC.  “Our new website makes registering for events, engaging with local women and experiencing the golf lifestyle easier and more rewarding than ever.“

The launch comes during WOC’s “Cheers to 10 Years” celebration commemorating a decade of empowering more than 30,000 women through golf.  By attending WOC events, joining its Facebook community and planning golf calendars on Meet Up, women are improving skills, building confidence, and growing social and business circles.

“Women on Course is uniting a demographic that truly loves this game,” says Peter Hill, Chairman and CEO of Billy Casper Golf, owner of WOC.  “It’s taking women beyond the scorecard, showing them the value of golf is in new friendships, physical fitness, family time, personal fulfillment and so much more.”

A 200% membership and 400% participation increase since early 2014 is testament to WOC’s popular approach of promoting supportive atmospheres focused on fun versus score and competition.  Women account for nearly 20% of all golfers in America and surveys show they comprise close to 40% of all new golfers.

Corporate America is also playing a role in WOC expansion.  Fortune 500 companies including Charles Schwab, Wells Fargo, Merrill Lynch, Accenture and Mass Mutual are leveraging WOC's employee development programs and corporate memberships to further the professional growth of female executives, connect with the community and provide event sponsorship opportunities.
