Little Golf T.R.A.I.N. Recaps Exciting Past 10 Days

(ORLANDO, FL) – LITTLE GOLF T.R.A.I.N. launched 10 days ago at the 63rd PGA Merchandise Show, Jan. 26-29, 2016, in Orlando, Fla. Much has happened for Little Golf T.R.A.I.N. during that week and in the days following. To review:

A major media conference, describing in detail the scope of Little Golf T.R.A.I.N., was conducted Jan. 27, in the PGA Show Media Center. There was also a Little Golf T.R.A.I.N. reception at The Littlest Golfer booth (4649) that evening.
On Jan. 25, Little Golf T.R.A.I.N. Founder Patricia Donnelly, PhD, and Co-Founder Nicole Weller, PGA/LPGA, delivered a groundbreaking, one-hour presentation in the 2,500-seat Chapin Theatre at the Orange County Convention Center at the PGA Youth and Family Golf Summit. Their topic focused on how to introduce very young children (ages 2-5) to the game of golf in a developmentally correct and age-appropriate way. Their presentation sparked great interest and lively discussion among the international group of attendees. To schedule one-on-one interviews with Dr. Donnelly and Ms. Weller, contact info@littlegolftrain.com or telephone 203-216-5295.
The presentation was videotaped for future viewing by the PGA of America, and Dr. Donnelly and Ms. Weller were interviewed on tape by Ko-Mar Productions immediately following. Also, the Little Golf T.R.A.I.N. founders were videotaped on the PGA Show floor by The Golf Insider later in the week. Additionally, watch for their appearance on Martin Hall’s School of Golf show, Wednesday evenings on Golf Channel, and Golf Talk Radio with Ted Odorico.
Dr. Donnelly and Ms. Weller envision Little Golf T.R.A.I.N. as an age-appropriate, developmentally correct way to introduce very young children, ages 2-5, to golf before they become committed to other sports such as soccer, baseball, football, basketball, tennis and swimming. They are targeting PGA and LPGA Teaching Professionals as well as pre-school educators. For details on how to become a Certified Conductor (instructor) and gain access to 24 manuals and three types of kits to run a program, as well as Little Golf T.R.A.I.N. merchandise, click on www.littlegolfTRAIN.com.
“Parents and coaches want our youngest golfers to truly enjoy the game and learn the correct fundamentals, but many young children are taught as if they are little adults, which doesn’t foster a love of golf,” says Dr. Donnelly, a world-renowned educational sport psychotherapist. “That’s why we developed the T.R.A.I.N. approach, which is based on teaching through play.”

Says Weller, a highly respected PGA and LPGA member and Head Teaching Professional at The Landings Club, in Savannah, GA.: “Our program is rooted in early-childhood, age-appropriate techniques and is designed to foster joy in learning about the game. Our goal is to certify golf professionals and pre-school educators around the world so they can introduce children to golf in an age-appropriate way and at the same time grow their own business.”
From Jan. 27 to 29, Little Golf T.R.A.I.N. was based at The Littlest Golfer booth (4649) at the Orange County Convention Center. Images of the Little Golf T.R.A.I.N. and its cast of cartoon characters, each representing a developmentally correct, age-appropriate method of engagement, were showcased.
